Coding Buddies
I’m originally from Jeju Island, South Korea which is coined as “the Korean Hawaii”. South Korea is the world’s most technologically advanced and digitally-connected country. I was a high school computer teacher in Korea before immigrating to Canada. I have certificates in Oracle database administration and Development certificates from Lighthouse Labs in Calgary. Most recently, I worked in the IT industry as Software implementation specialist in Calgary. Although, I love IT and programming something was missing and that was the teaching piece, which is what really drives me. I started teaching my three kids coding and found they love it. This is what sparked my interest in doing this full-time as it daily fills my bucket to see young ones get comfortable with coding.
